After much consideration, I've decided to go to Brooklyn Law School. They are giving me a lovely sizable merit scholarship, beautiful housing on the 19th floor of their brand new building (bay windows in my room looking across to Manhattan!!), and they have an awesome Entertainment law program.
So, I'll be slaving away at the firm (and on the firm softball team) until the first week of August and then will make my first move from Manhattan to Brooklyn Heights.
Meanwhile, my last week at the firm is also JKR's reading, which I am happy to have a ticket to! Hopefully will see some of you guys there, for it has been too too too long.
So I've gotten accepted to Pepperdine (ooooh, Malibu and one of the top entertainment law programs), Brooklyn Law (pretty brand spankin' new student housing), NY Law (meh safety school).
Still waiting to hear from all the others.
Still utterly clueless as to where I actually WANT to go.
I realize I have reverted into full lurker mode as of late, but is always the duty of a good lurker to give some updates on life.
I know that I appreciate being able to read what Lori thinks of the latest episode of LOST (my favorite TV show) or what's new in the world of Allison's art or what amazing things John, Ebony, and Alex are getting up to.
So, an update on Ashwise:
Am waiting with baited breath to hear back from these law schools:

I had an awesome meeting with one of the top entertainment lawyers in the city the other day. His clients are Madonna, Billy Joel, Robert DeNiro, etc. and he really helped me to believe that I can actually get into this whole entertainment law biz. He recommends I try and get In House Film Company summer jobs to crack into the legal business, as opposed to going to one of the big firms. Anybody out there have any opinions on this??
In the meantime, working away in the land of plaintiffs' law. I am now the head paralegal for the firm...which is stressful but rewarding.
I still read too much fan fic. I still get the urge to sneak into premieres (though work has prevented me from acting on this urge). I still wish I could see the old gang out there more often.
I finally grew up this year and did not go and talk my way into the GoF premiere on Saturday and instead was responsible and stayed home to work on law school applications.
But, SQUEE, Midnight IMAX Opening Night tonight! Going with my fabulous roomie Jay, my officemate Kaveh, and his little sis. Time to break out the Gryff scarf and Potter Gear... which I will deny the existence of tomorrow at the firm.
When do we get to the point where it is suddenly infinitely less compelling to write about ourselves in blog form and way more fun to read lots and lots of other blogs.
Working in an office, I have become addicted to following blogs about the city. This is what I read everyday now:
Gawker Gothamist Curbed
But I want to read a political blog, a man on the street blog, and something else. So, if anyone still reads this ol' thing, I turn to you now for recommendations. How shall I fill the moments between crazy law firm assignments with reading that is enjoyable but gives me a new viewpoint on what's going on around me?
